The role:
We are seeking a strategic Head of Nordic Communication Planning & Strategy to lead our efforts to maintain If’s flawless corporate reputation and help to position If as the most caring insurance company. In the role, based on the Nordic communication strategy, you will develop a PA strategy and implement it with the aim of increasing the visibility and positioning of If’s most important focus issues.
You will lead a team of four senior staff members in different Nordic countries, coordinating our public affairs and PR efforts to align with our company’s values and the issues important to our stakeholders. In the role, you will report to the Head of External Communications, Nordics. The role is situated in Stockholm.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Leadership and Operational Management: Lead the development and implementation of a comprehensive PA/PR strategy that amplifies our company’s role as a significant societal actor. Actively engage in hands-on operational tasks to ensure strategies are executed effectively.
- Process Development: Construct and maintain processes that enhance our advocacy efforts and ensure their progression. Continually assess and refine these processes to align with changing objectives and market conditions.
- Partnership and External Relations: Seek out and secure partnerships that advance our agenda, and represent the company as a spokesperson at internal and public events.
- Team Leadership and Development: Build and manage a team of four, with a strong emphasis on cross-border collaboration and mutual respect. Cultivate a team culture that values open communication, continuous improvement, and shared success.
- Hands-On Collaboration: Work closely with team members across different countries, ensuring that projects are moving forward and that collaboration is seamless and effective
Candidate Profile:
- Working experience from similar roles, preferably from an international/Nordic company or from a PR/PA-Agency as a consultant gaining this experience
- Extensive experience of strategic comms, planning and Public Affairs
- Management/Experienced Manager, leading and developing a team, having direct-reporting staff, change management
- Working experience from the Swedish Parliaments
- Strong operational capabilities, with a hands-on approach to tackling tasks and challenges.
- Advanced degree in Communications, Public Relations, Political Science, or a related field.
